Autumn in Charleston

family2

Autumn has finally arrived in Charleston and the weather is amazing. The trees in Charleston don’t really change color (unfortunately palmettos don’t do that), but it does cool off considerably. Brian and I took the sun shade off the boat, removed the ac unit from the v-berth hatch, and reacquainted ourselves with the outside of the boat. We have been sleeping with the hatches open and just a floor fan running at night to keep some airflow. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect temperature. In addition my parents drove down from Virginia for a short visit. We rode bikes and walked around town, took the ferry out to Ft. Sumter, and enjoyed a few coffees and dinner together on the boat. It was the perfect weekend, just before the rain arrived on Monday. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Tomorrow Brian and I will be heading to the NC mountains for a wedding and I can’t wait to see all of the beautiful trees changing color. I am sure I will have some great pictures to share when I get back. I will try to post a studio update before we leave. It’s been a while but I have been working hard and have a bit of news to go along with it. :) Happy fall!
