I just thought I'd take a brief moment (I've got to get back to the print studio to finish up holiday gift orders!) to say that it is so wonderful to meet new people and talk in person and in depth about my work in real time. Craft shows can be very stressful for me especially the lead up. There are preparations, printing, speculations about what will sell or what to bring the most of, booth display decisions, and many other considerations, and I'm sorry to admit that, I lost my cool a couple times last week (and snapped at my husband, which I instantly regretted and apologized for). But doing a craft show or popup shop is ultimately such a wonderful and rewarding experience and it's all because of you guys. I can't tell you how important your feedback and encouragement is to my process. It is wonderful to meet so many interesting new people and to reconnect with those of you who have purchased from me before or are following my journey. I feel absolutely warm and fuzzy when I hear someone say that they have one of my shirts, prints, or paintings and still love it. If you are an entrepreneur or artist, then you are probably familiar with the ups and downs of running a small business. At times it can be an emotional roller coaster. This weekend, I am so happy to say, was a lovely high point in the midst of the holiday frenzy. I am positively giddy about all of the interest in my Bicycle Wrap Skirt and am so excited to share it with more of you in the coming year; 2015 is going to be a big one, and I'm already scheduling popup shops and markets!
Just so you know, the Bicycle Wrap Skirt sample is on display at the Broughton Exchange through the new year along with my shirts, which can still be purchased there Wednesday through Sunday and the following weekend. I'll be taking a couple of weeks off after I finish up all of my orders this week to relax, enjoy the holidays, and get ready for the year of the Bicycle Wrap Skirt! Thanks for joining me on this adventure!!
Happy Holidays folks!
