I can't tell you how excited I am to see the azaleas in full bloom surrounded by green grass and new growth - not to mention being able to hop on my bike and take the Bicycle Wrap Skirt for a spin whenever I feel like it. If you've been following me on Instagram then you've already gotten a taste of what I've been up over the past few weeks: testing out a new fastening system, getting my production details organized, and preparing for One Spark Festival in Jacksonville, FL, which is where I'm set up right now.
I've never been to Jacksonville and had no idea what to expect from the city or the festival, but we're staying at a cute little Airbnb in the Riverside neighborhood, which has a park and some hip restaurants. It's so close to downtown that I could ride a bike back and forth, except for the fact that I have too many things to carry this week. We're two days in now, and I'm getting great feedback; I think the best takeaway from this so far is that biking is universal, and so is a bike-friendly skirt!
If you are in or near Jacksonville, FL, please stop by, see what we're up to, and vote for the Bicycle Wrap Skirt. For those of you that haven't heard of One Spark, we're in the running with 555 projects for a percentage of $350,000 that the festival has set aside for participating creators. Based on a project's number of votes, they will receive that percentage. Wish me luck! :)
